Pick 16: Boris Diaw to the Celtics
The Celtics had success with international Toni Kukoc so must be hoping Diaw can do the same. I don't see it, though... Boris has no glaring weaknesses except for the fact that he does nothing particularly well.

Pick 17: The 76ers' pick gets autosimmed (Mickael Pietrus)
Perhaps we're going to see if cap space CAN dribble, pass, and shoot the three after all.

Trade: Pick 18 goes to the Magic for picks 21 and 23
You wouldn't think at this stage of the draft giving up two picks for one is a good idea, but I guess if you think there is only one guy left to draft it makes sense...
Pick #18: Zaza Pachulia to the Magic
... and I think this makes sense. Pachulia is a lot like Magic RFA Jeff Foster - solid defender and rebounder with no offensive game to speak of. Every team needs a lunchbucket kind of guy though... not everybody can score.
The other trend that holds is that for the first time in SLOE memory, the color of a player's potential box is not the be all end all of his draft status. We saw it with Howard and now Willie Green (ironic) is making a slide.

Pick 19: Willie Green to the Magic
Does anyone know what this guy actually did to earn Green potential? Me either.
Pick 20: Darko Milicic to the Suns
Still too high to pick this guy.

Pick 21: Steve Blake to the Bulls
A three point shooter off the bench. Trying hard to care at this point and it isn't working.
Pick 22: Jason Kapono to the Wolves
See my previous entry

Pick 23: Marquis Daniels to the Bulls
The Bulls needed a backup big, not more backup guards. Maybe they should have kept the 18 and gotten Pachulia?

Trade: Nets send Nene Hilario to the Mavs for the 24 and 31 picks
Is Nene much better than what is on the board now? Not really. The Mavs do get size, though, which is not on the board.

Trade: Nets send 24 to Hornets for cash (points)
Nets just traded Nene for what amounts to 14 points. Is RPF one of them Wall Street alogrithims?

Trade: Bucks send Darius Songaila and their 05 first to the Kings for Samaki Walker
The Bucks probably overpaid. Walker isn't called "coattails" for nothing. Kings still need to trade TMac or it isn't a real reset.

Pick 24: Travis Outlaw to Hornets
I think the Hornets are nostalgic for the one season they had Bo Outlaw. Bo may know defense but Travis don't know diddly.

25th pick: James Jones to Cleveland
26th pick: Jarvis Hayes to Dallas
Parents, teach your kid to shoot threes. It's the only skill he will ever need.

27th pick: Marcus Banks to the Lakers
See? No marketable skills other than three pointers.

You just like the word diddly. And what are 18 year olds supposed to know anyways?

Borderline athlete with defensive potential and size at the 1 position. I disagree. Saying that, he probably won't make the team. lol

29th pick: Raul Lopez to the Sonics
I guess Kemp wanted Spanish soul food. Hard to get excited about the 29th pick... except it means we are done for another year!
