I am a broken man. So naturally I broke the team with me.
We gave it our all, put together one of our best teams ever, and still were not able to make it to the Finals. We were an absolute disappointment. Still are. Daily, I question why I still hold this position I hold with the team. I keep wanting to walk away despite our failures. And despite the futility of the thought of competing in this league for the next 4 seasons. Yet here I am, standing on this god-forsaken podium like $2 trick giving this stupid speech and answering your stupid questions just to whore myself out enough for a few sim points. Here I am indeed.
With all that said, here we are as a team. Patrick Williams... gone. Zaire Wade... gone. Zach Keller... gone. Charles Hintz... gone. Only straps of the past regime are Jericho Sims & Carmelo Williams. Everyone else new faces. We brought in some young talent and draft capital. DeJaun Baker looks like a very capable guard in the future. Trey Murphy III can be an excellent perimeter player. We signed some other young prospects in UFA like Thurman James, David Rodriguez, Troy Throckmorton, Joe Pabon.. all of which are coming in hungry with something to prove. Cam'ron Fletcher and Vaughn Milsap look to use their athleticism to get minutes. We had some pleasant risers come out of training camp who may get to see some valuable minutes along the way.
All in all, who knows what is in store for us this coming season? A bunch of losses probably. Maybe we'll have some surprises. Probably not. I'm tired of getting my hopes up for this stupid game. This is what a loveless marriage must feel like.
I'm wondering why las season was so disappointing for you in particular. You had a great season and won the division and made it to the WCF. Reviewing through your presser last year, it didn't seem that it was a championship or bust type of season. So, what changed to get you so invested in last season during the season?
Whatever happens this season, don't leave Doug. Coast if you have to. Live to sim another day.
Could you have done anything differently last season? Would you? It was a great season after all... and you have the ability to put together championship caliber teams pretty quickly even if they don't go all the way, but you will wear a ring again, sir.
Sham Smith, Bulls.com: What kind of common sense rules would you enact to make sure that teams like the Pistons can't monopolize the league and make the playing field more competitive and even?
Some pundits believe that what the Bucks lack in experience they more than make up for in youthful energy and have emerged as a sexy pick on DraftKings to sneak into the playoffs. Who will need to emerge as a key player for this to come to fruition?
Kenya Swallow, ESPN: Please, by all means, stay with us heading forward—we wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for managers such as yourself. With that said, you made some big moves—to say the very least. What motivated you to trade Zhaire Wade to the Utah Jazz, the most Mormon state in the country?

Based on preseason, you are committed to the giant lineup. Will goofy gameplay like that keep you engaged this season?

Lol tell those people to make a smart bet, not a sexy bet. Jericho Sims will be this teams beacon of hope and lone highlight from this season

His dad owns the Jazz, figured they would like a family reunion.
