We are still here. We are still doing this. We're bring the jpeg back. Earvin, what time is it?
Last season went about as expected. We were a middle of the road playoff team, but we did win a playoff series (GIMME THOSE POINTS). The real goal was staying out of the tax and gathering assets, which I was satisfied with by season's end.
After losing to a great Bucks team, I'd hoped to kick off more the rebuild but did not find many offers. So I pivoted to dealing for a quality wing in Hintz. The rest of the roster remains unchanged, except for Ken Dirks' salary. Parris took a step back in TC, but I did what I could to get him to starter level. I have thought about trying to pull an O'Connor with Bernard Miller, but here's how the starting five looks tentatively:
C: Parris
PF: Dirks
SF: Manley
SG: Hintz
PG: Atkison
Based on some private chats and pressers, it looks like some others are feeling the same malaise I have. Does mine have to do with the championship quality of my team? Not really! I think I've accepted that not every season has to be in or out of title contention. I am ready once again to go with the flow. If this is a team that loses AGAIN in the second round, that's fine.
Maybe I'll pull a Doug except with a lineup of all PGs next season. Anyway, I'm rambling. Send me your questions.
