Knicks Preseason Presser

Post by drkavarga »

It's time for another wonderful Knicks Preseason Press Conference and this season we got jobbed by the TC. The Training Cap Gods literally screwed us without the lube this season and somehow it wasn't as bad as last season which is insane to me. Anyways we're clearly rebuilding this year but next season when we're out of the tax and have an absurd amount of tax space we're going to be a contender within 2 seasons. We have a core of Plott, Jordan, Quackenbush, Alexander, and Chronister. Lujan, Barr, and Jacobs are the other guys on my radar for being powerhouses. We have a lot of good rookies and players. So here's my game plan. Without being too pessimistic if we make the playoffs it'll take a miracle. If we win 10 games the same thing. Anything above 10 wins is just more points for us. Next season we're going all in. The players who play well for us this season will be offered multi-year upgraded contracts if they are on expiring deals. After that I'm going for all Purples and Blues next season. I will offer more than you and I will pay players what they deserve. Expect me to be ruthless next offseason and I don't care who's players I hire I will get a super team formed plus I will likely have a very high draft pick. With the guys I drafted this year with Wentz and Plott plus Jordan and Quackenbush we're set for at least two seasons maybe more. Get ready for a big change here. We won 31 games last season with Silva, Marsh, Wright, and rookies. Imagine what we can do with a fully loaded roster. If I was a GM next season I'd supermax everyone because if not the Knicks are going to be a force to be reckoned with next season. This season 10 wins is going to be pushing it going by our preseason. Not looking good at all to be honest but a bright future ahead.

Knicks e-mail in game: You’ve offered me a max, but [insert any other team] offered me the same contract and I’m signing with them. I want to play for the better team.

They won't be better next season. Two seasons from now I think they'll change their minds or ask for a trade to a real team.

What exactly is it about Corey Chronister that makes him a core piece?

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: Will you give Ronald Jordan a supermax next year or just a regular max?

His chemistry with Alexander. They were an excellent combo for us last season which is why I resigned them.

Depends on his play this season. A lot of guys I signed to see if last season was a fluke or were they legit. If they're legit they're getting paid next season.

I'll take over the Jazz and show them what a real GM looks like.

So many questions, so little time Dr. K

The worst regular season record was 5-77 by the 2000-01 Seattle Supersonics.

What will happen first, the Knicks winning 6 games or consecutive games?

Have Steven Woodhouse's parents contacted you about their missing son? Is he presumed dead at this time?

Firstly both will happen on a 2 game win streak. Watch is win 10 because on injuries to dinosaur players from the olden days who are like Mr. Glass.

Let's face facts, Woodhouse is a bust. It happens. Not worried about it. Thank you for killing my boy, TC Grim Reaper.

I think Alexander, Quackenbush, or Plott are going to have the best seasons so likely one of them.
