Hello, friends. It's that time again!



Heading into last season, I thought we'd be pretty good, not great. Sure enough, we were pretty good to the tune of 46 wins. And we weren't great- the Wizards dismissed us pretty easily in five games in round one. Still, there were some positives- Boban looked fully capable of carrying the team, Ernie Acuna looked like a true PG, and JJ was efficient in an unspectacular fashion. So the question was...what now?

The offseason proved very interesting. We churned down from the ninth spot for points and brought in a project big in Eric EADs. It was clear we needed a big next to Boban. We splashed some cash and a pair of prospects to welcome back Tibor Pleiss- I think he'll be the perfect pair to Boban. We also welcomed back another old friend in Cristobal Santos to come off the bench - we've always been a fan of his defensive skills.

So what does this mean for the new season? To be completely honest, I'm not sure. I know the before the preseason, we were ranked #1. However, due to a communication error with our assistant coaches and the league offices, it appears we played the preseason as if we were facing the Wizards in the playoffs. There is a new gameplan we wanted to see in action with this group. In any case, going 3-3 in the preseason didn't exactly support our positive forecasting. However, I'm confident the training camp we had coupled with the our team's proprietary Player Enhancing Development System, this group should demand success from themselves.

We'll be experimenting a lot more with the game plan this season- expect a higher pace. We'll tweak the motion a bit as well. JJ might see some time at the 4 spot.

I think we should all keep our eye on Glenn Irvine and his 26 ppg.

I’m not ready to count out AD until he’s green like the color of his corpse and the Pistons still have Keitr and O’Connor. I always expect the very best out of BSH. It should be competitive between the usual suspects.

Do you feel that you have enough talent to exceed 46 wins? Additionally, do you have any plans of trading away assets to strengthen your team during the regular season if your team struggles?

55 seems like a nice number, but I’d expect success to be the result of how the core four have improved.

Apart from some first rounders and points, I don’t have much I’d be willing to part with. I am always willing to listen. I would hope changes will not be necessary though.

I’m not expecting much from Eric Eads- he’ll be a red shirt this year. Joe Delong should be the same, barring a string of terrible injuries. They might be contributors down the line, but not this season.
