10 games per sim.
You don't pick a winner, instead you pick a point spread.
For example, if the game is Magic @ Mavericks, you guess the difference in the number of points for the final score.
Say the Mavericks win 105-100. The difference is 5. Say the Magic win 110-105. The difference is still 5. It doesn't matter who wins.
Now, how do you get points? You guess what the difference will be. As long as you don't get HIGHER than the actual difference, you get however many points you guessed for each game. If you guess HIGHER than the actual differential is in the final score, you don't get that added to your total each game. If you guess the EXACT differential, you get 3x the differential.
So, you can guarantee yourself 10 points per sim by just guessing that the differential for each game will be 1. But the key is to identify the lopsided matchups and maximize the points you win on blowout games without going over.
Awards
1st place for a sim gets 2pts, 2nd place gets 1 point. If there is a tie for 1st place, 2nd place points will NOT be rewarded.
I will take the total for each participant (so don't miss any Pick 'Ems unless you plan on doing really well on all of the other ones), and the Top 5 will receive points awards as described below:
5th: 1 point
4th: 2 points
3rd: 8 points
2nd: 12 points
1st: 20 points
