Thanks for the question! Tanking is a skill that comes with time, patience, and tomfoolery. I generally would try operating at extremes to see what does and does not work for your team. Without knowing what you've run up to this point, it's a little difficult to assess what your next steps would be. That said, perhaps try running an outside focus, 10 3PT Usage offense and turn those offensive rebounds down to 0. Worth a shot, to see if it works!false9 wrote: Tue May 08, 2018 1:26 pm How can I get better at tanking? Should I run a game plan of pace 0?
The Suns are in a precarious spot. Kevin Love is approaching the last year of his contract, with $45million on the books for next season. It's hard to build around something like that, especially when selling draft picks has been a tactic that G_MESSI has adopted the past few seasons. In my opinion, I would start looking for suitors for Kevin Love NOW. Don't wait until the finals end. Get the headstart and capitalize on someone looking to make the leap into contender-ship with a handshake deal. I don't think the rebuild will be a quick one, since there is little in terms of youth on the squad currently. One interesting option for them is to start looking at using the points he's accrued over Kevin Love's tenure in Phoenix and apply them as a mass overhaul to some otherwise rookie deal role players. This could expedite the rebuild process some as a gradual improvement of potentials on a late 20s pick while improving current ratings could be a neat way to avoid excessive cap holds in RFA too.

That's a good question. Personally, I would love to get involved with a podcast again, as they were pretty fun to record. There have been talks of a potential podcast recording this week, but things are shaping up to not having that fall into place at this point in time. I really hope we could get a pod set up soon though, and would love to get some of our newer members involved.
Duren is someone I wouldn't move unless you were getting back Anthony Davis. Between Mitchell, Haynes and Duren, your core is set for years to come. That said your depth at the PF position has room for improvement, specifically in terms of a starting PF. I'm not sure if he's available, but a player like Aubrey Broomfield for a combination of Simmons + salary + pick/points could be a mutually beneficial move. Another option could be reaching out to a team currently ailing from injured player syndrome, and see if they are looking to trade. Serge Ibaka specifically comes to mind. One other crazy idea would involve trading with a division rival, but a swap of Kyrie and Simmons for Paul George would make way too much sense for you (not sure if that's the ideal compensation that Ben is looking for though). These are just a few ideas I came up with off the top of my head, but if you had any other ideas you wanted to talk through, feel free to slide into my DMs.NOLa. wrote: Tue May 08, 2018 1:34 pm If you had to rebuild my team, how would you do it? Would you trade Duren and build around Mitchell/Haynes?
If you could upgrade my team now, how would you do it? Anyone movable in this scenario for realistic trades.
Followup question: If the Prize is behind me, should I look back, or should I do what the Bucks do and try to accidentally back into it?IamQuailman wrote: Tue May 08, 2018 1:41 pmNever give up. Never surrender. Never look back. Keep your eyes on the Prize.
If the Bucks accidentally backed into something (not really sure what though), then what do you call a Pistons GM accidentally happening into a situation of having the best player this game has seen since Shawn Kemp?Wombataholic wrote: Tue May 08, 2018 2:02 pmFollowup question: If the Prize is behind me, should I look back, or should I do what the Bucks do and try to accidentally back into it?IamQuailman wrote: Tue May 08, 2018 1:41 pmNever give up. I would recommend Superior Spider-Man series (start with ASM 798 though). It's a pretty anti-hero story. Another good series that could hold you over is Y the Last Man (which is actually coming to TV in a couple years i think). It's a really good story about essentially a guy who is the only surviving male after a plague wiped out all males on earth. Another good read was Mark Waid's Daredevil series from 2012.Conroy wrote: Tue May 08, 2018 2:07 pm My team is taking forever to develop, what's a good comic run to tide me over until they are ready to actually play?
Funky AND Buddy. 100% tag team effort. I can speak from personal experience that big men benefit BIGLY from a good passer and someone who can feed them the rock. McNary's offensive output shot up once Elfrid came back. That said, not all bigs are the same though. I think your team is looking pretty good with them at the core. You will have Tyreke, Oladipo, and possibly Warren falling off the books this upcoming off-season, and it should give you some financial flexibility to retool your team. I like Bedard as a 3rd big, and I still think TJ Warren is the prototype SF in this league. If you could get a big man at the 5 or a 3 and D shooting guard (Marcus Smart comes to mind), your squad could be looking really good moving forward. But before all that, you need to figure out a way to reset that tax!!!
Follow up to the follow up question... after this sim it's clear that the prize definitely not behind youWombataholic wrote:Followup question: If the Prize is behind me, should I look back, or should I do what the Bucks do and try to accidentally back into it?IamQuailman wrote: Tue May 08, 2018 1:41 pmNever give up.
