Team: Boston Celtics
TC History: KAT has only had to go through one TC and he survived it.
Summary:KAT has not gotten a huge shot at showing what he will be, but he looks great starting 12/7/2. Towns looks like to be the real deal in terms of all around talent. His skills are telling me superstar, but his body HIS BODY is telling me star. Nothing to be ashamed of here for the Celts.
2016 Ben Simmons
Team:Philadelphia 76ers
TC History: 2 TCs and 1 boost
Summary: Simmons was the second player behind duren benched for a whole season. Last season eh got his shot and he did not disappoint with 15/5/1 on 59% shooting. Simmons looks like the type that will eventually be in the top 5 in 2-3 categories. He will probably also never start an all star game or be a first team All Leaguer because of a guy further down the list.
2015 Gustave Lecroix
Team:Los Angeles Lakers
TC History: 3 Neutral
Summary: LeCroix will remembered for the guy taken over Jeff Duren for probably all of his career. This probably isn’t fair as hes got the ability to become a great player in his own right. Last year he average 17/5/2 on 48% shooting for an anemic Lakers team. It will be fun to watch if he can wrestle control for the franchise from Giannis who we will se further down this list.
2014 Nikola Jokic
Team: New York Knicks
TC History: 2 out of 4 negative TCs
Summary: Jokic came into the league oozing with potential and despite it maybe not being the right fit for the Knicks, it was the best one at the time. Since then, Jokic has been a fine starter with his best season being 18/10/3 on 47% shooting. The real issue is he keeps getting hit in TC taking his currents down.
2013 Giannis Antetokounmpo
Team:Los Angeles Lakers
TC History: 2 Negative Tcs, 3 neutral. I was Neutral but boosted him to Purple due to athleticism.
Summary: The poster child of insurance that didnt get used. Giannis had a ceiling that many have not seen. Unfortunately, Lakers GM has been asleep at the wheel for quite some time now and has allowed Giannis to just be a really good player instead of an all time guy. I think Tray will get back into it one day.
2012 Anthony Davis
Team: Detroit Pistons
TC History: 6 Positive TCs, who cares if it’s accurate, who’s going to challenge this.
Summary: God Mode. Grats on your first cruise control AD. I’m sure there will be about 3 more in the next 10 years at the least. I think at a certain point, I’d have to try and see how little i can give him and win with him.
2011 Klay Thompson
Team: Denever Nuggets
TC History: 1 Negative 1 Positive (i think)
Summary: I can tell you one thing. He’s not a franchise player. That’s a “sort of” quote from former GM syndicate. Klay has had a great run as a guard for awhile, but after his last TC hit, he moved from a top 5 player in value to just an all star level guy in value.
2010 Paul George
Team: Utah Jazz
TC History:
Summary: What could have been. Paul George is probably one of the worst of the OPs but do not mistake, this guy is a guy you can create a team around. The what could have been was a story of a franchise having probably a top 3 PG and and George at the helm. If not for a early trape of dunk for Rubio four a very thinly planned “run” at it; he was almost trapped into trading George.
2009 Steph Curry
Team: Golden State Warriors
TC History: 2 Negative TCs
Summary: Curry is another player who was gambled with in TC insurance and lost. He’s also the annual award recipient of the Nate Robinson, I’ll take way too little money to play on the Hawks award. despite Curry’s green ratings, he’s still a strong scoring guard as he lead the Hawks last year.
2008 Kevin Love
Team: Phoenix Suns
TC History: About 4 Positive TCs (pretty sure this is accurate)
Summary: The orginal OP, Love was on the fringe of being better than Kemp, luckily, St. Anthony came along making Love look like a wee baby. Love for a time was a guy who could win it all on his own and he has. GM GMessi Sterling ran his team like this as well. At points he would go into the offseason with just Love and refuse to take on Salary and wanted to play the gamble in UFA.
