Matt Lauer: welcome back to this special edition of the Today Show. There has been a lot of controversy going on since the commissioner of SLOE league went on vacation and we got a exclusive intervew.
Matt Lauer: I am here today with the person in the center of SLOE trade deadline controversy Spencer Dinwiddie. How are you doing today
Spencer Dinwiddie: I am doing great thanks for having me on today.
Matt Lauer: So first off how do you feel about the events of yesterday. GM of the team threatening to quit cause he couldn't cut you in time. Was in fact .43 late. How does that make you feel.
Spencer Dinwiddie: I mean I don't know how to feel about that. I've heard I been part of potential trades and on the block for my short career. When I was drafted I was happy to hear my name called and ready to prove myself but now I seem like I am a outcast. I feel Like I am not wanted here and in any day I'll be gone and that's something I am preparing for.
Matt Lauer: There was a Gm that and I Quote saying "He's was trying to get something for trash ass Dwindledick and ended up getting nothing" How does it feel to be called Dwindledick?
Spencer Dinwiddie: It is really disrespectful and it hurt me and my family being call both trash and the other derogatory name. I feel if you can pronounce my last name don't say anything at all. When I look at this whole situation it is what it is. The SLOE league is a business but it hurts to know that the guy who drafted you wants you gone. To the GM who thinks I am trash. The one that called me trash on social media...........EAZY. We will have a heart to heart to clear the air. Seems like Eazy has been apart of a lot of stuff lately
Matt Lauer: Eazy did say he tried to in some sort to diffuse everything with your GM because he too missed out on cutting a player and a potential trade because it was past the deadline but you boss was only concerned about not being able to cut you to shave salary. How does that make you feel?
Spencer Dinwiddie: like I said earlier it's a business I am going to try and make the best of this situation. I just wished everything could have been handle better than it was and not out in public. It hurts finding out on social you being cut and not from that person 1st but you live and you learn.
Matt Lauer: Is it true that your teammates put a black rubba donger in your locker when you returned to practice yesterday?
Spencer Dinwiddle: I don't know what you are talking about
Matt Lauer: But there's a picture going around on the internet
Spencer Dinwiddie: like i said I don''t know what you are referring to. only games I play is on the court. Don't have time for bullshit
Matt Lauer: Do we have the picture guys..........we do......... ok put it up.
Matt Lauer: this is what I was referring to. anything to say about it? Is this why you think Eazy called you Dwindledick?
Spencer Dinwiddie: You know what I think I am going end this interview. I don't want to hear his name anymore.
Matt Lauer: why? the donger?
Spencer Dinwiddie: this whole situation is phucked up for me. all i did was work my ass off. now they got jokes.
Matt Lauer: Ok last question. So now that the deadline has past and you are still currently on a team that do not want you there what are your plans
Spencer Dinwiddie: Just take it one day and prove all of the doubters wrong. Prove to everyone that I am not just another roster spot or salary dump. That I will play a positive role whether its here in Denver or somewhere else.
Matt Lauer: This concludes our interview today thanks you Spencer
Spencer Dinwiddie: Thanks for having me
Matt Lauer: Thank you guys for joining us for our exclusive interview I hoped you enjoyed. From everyone here I am Matt Lauer have a good day.
