I will now be working the trade machine all day with every UK player. So happy I have a cakewalk in the first round of the playoffs that I don't need to gameplan for.LoCo89 wrote: Mon Feb 20, 2017 6:36 amConroy wrote:BOOOOGGGGGIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Going to the dentist Friday afternoon and mouth will need a little time to heal up, also need some time to copy this year's files up to the site archives and get everything cleaned up for the start of next season.
The rest of the offseason schedule should be posted at some point this weekend.

Considering how conveniently deep this draft class is, it sho looks like it was made with your mouthballsohard wrote:You run the draft with your mouth ?WigNosy wrote:Because I'm sure everyone wants to know, Wig will run a simulcast draft lotto show (thread on forums and Skype) at a time TBD on Saturday. Did that trade even remotely make sense at the time? The trade was:NOLa. wrote: Fri Mar 03, 2017 11:14 amConsidering how conveniently deep this draft class is, it sho looks like it was made with your mouthballsohard wrote:You run the draft with your mouth ?WigNosy wrote:.

Hornets send: Ramon Sessions, Mike Bibby & 2013 Hornets First
For
76ers send: Mike Conley, TJ Ford, & 2013 76ers first.
Ramon Sessions and Conley were both Y/G expiring rooking PGs, averaging 7ppg. Ford and Bibby were both y/y expiring vets averaging 5 and 7 ppg respectively. Then the obvious 76ers pick (their record:66-16) and Hornets pick (their record: 35-47). On its face at the time it was terrible Sessions had a much better FG% and was probably the better overall player at the time. Bibby and Ford both sucked but Bibby averaged 2 more ppg. AND without a doubt a team with a foundation of Tyson Chandler, Dwayne Wade, Demarre Carroll, And Amare Stoudemaire is going to have a better pick than a team who's foundation was....drumroll please...Tracy McGrady on an expiring contract?!?
Oh it gets better. Fastfoward to the offseason Sessions resigns with the 76ers on a good contract, Nick matches a horrible offer from the Bucks on Conley, and Soundwave signs T-Mac and eventually trades him to the Fryeing 76ers?! So at this point Philly owns the Hornets pick (#4 in the lotto btw) and the best player that was on his roster when the trade was made. We aren't done yet it keeps getting better. So for swapping his pick with Philly Nick gets to enjoy one and a half terrible seasons of Mike Conley on a near max contract in which he averages 9.5 ppg and 7 apg with an impressingly bad 37% Field Goal percentage, before he somehow manages to trade his shitty contract for a late lotto and two picks in the 20s in the one of the worst drafts of the decade in 2012 to New York. That would be the end right surely it is? Frye no it's not. Conley is so horrible the Knicks finally realize it, attach their Fryeing draft pick to his pathetic ass in a trade to the Bucks for Brandon "Hey at least my contract doesn't suck" Bass formely known as "Good Stats terrible team" Brandon Bass. And that Fryeing lotto pick is now #5 in the lottery. So Fryeing Mike Conley is responsible for the Bucks and the 76ers having top 5 picks in this years draft. This has Nick, Quail, and Balls written all over it.
Yes this all started just by going back and looking at the post for the trade. I'm copying and pasting into an article and I hope points get Fryeing subtracted from everyones banks for having to read it.
