Engine Rough

Post by WigNosy »

I think this is finally to the point where I can put it out there for y'all to peek at: http://pbsl.ijbl.net/bball.php

This is still a rough engine and currently encompasses only "simming one game" - no other facets. The PBP is displayed with box scores at the bottom. It generates a new game every time you reload the page. All the players are hard-coded "average" players (so the Center is treated the same skills as a PG). As of this writing I still need to fix the foul algorithim (currently awards one free throw per non-shooting foul instead of tracking until we get to 5 team fouls). Other than that the basics are pretty solid.

I'll probably be tweaking this over the long weekend (both the engine and the pbp display to make it cleaner) so you may see some changes as the weekend goes on.

Ah so I take it this probably explains why the PF and C seem to be handling the ball alot? That was the only thing that really stood out to me
