So, in return for Garland, the Suns got...two aging expirings, a role player (who's also an expiring), and not even the full slate of points. This is just a salary dump where talent is being given to the dumpee rather than points. And maybe I'm overvaluing Garland just a bit, but I feel like an All-star caliber player who perfectly fills the team's one major hole is worth a little bit more than a salary dump return. Even one y/g on a cheap rookie deal would've made this look a little less lopsided. Jlmarines may not win big because of this, but he wins regardless. Every other GM who made moves to improve gave up something to do so. The Cavs did not.
