Commissioner Announcement
My term of service as commissioner began in April of 2016, just after season #17. We're now almost two and a half real-life years later, wrapping up season #33, and, well... it's time for new blood in the commissioner's chair. I've been running sim leagues in general on and off for nearly 18 (real life) years and while I have enjoyed my time as the commissioner of the PBSL, I would be the first to acknowledge that my performance this past couple of seasons has been rocky as it's been harder to squeeze in the time to keep things humming the way that they should. I haven't been on top of inactive teams, I've been slow to respond to questions, and I've flat out missed processing some transactions this season.
Now there are reasons (some might say excuses) for it; changes in my travel schedule, my work schedule, and the fact that I have over the past few months (re)assumed some other responsibilities that I will share with y'all when it is appropriate to do so (don't worry; this is an opportunity to waste more time on fun stuff, nothing serious), and the fact that I've got a couple of kids in high school (and one who's starting to look hard at colleges). But it still means the league isn't getting the priority it needs to get and there are things that need to be addressed, and I have full confidence that new leadership will look at getting things addressed and tightening everything back up. There are some suggestions we might need to look at voting on, there are of course vacancies in teams that should be filled - in short, there's going to be work to do that I think having someone with more bandwidth than me in the commissioner's chair will help make sure gets done.
Effective whenever the 76ers' playoff run is over (which could mean after they win a title), Scott (ballsohard) has agreed to assume commissioner duties. He is in a spot right now where he feels he has plenty of bandwidth in his life to handle the extra responsibility and I think his long track record of excellence (and good suggestions) in the league should be sufficient resume to let people know that he knows what he's doing. Doug (IamQuailman) supports this change and both Doug and I (the two previous commissioners) will assist him in any capacity he may need. Ballsohard has input DCs for some time, and has been running the import of college rookies, so he already knows most of the in's and out's of the day-to-day work of commissioner-dom. I look forward to seeing him bring his knowledge and enthusiasm to keep driving the league along.
Thank you all for your support during my time as commissioner, and don't worry, I'm not going anywhere as a GM - the Hawks will continue to be everyone's un-favorite Southeast team for quite some time to come. It will be nice to "only" have to worry about my own team again.

Thanks for everything, Wig.
My most profound sadness that we won't be blessed by the sultry tones of your voice reading off sim results next season.

Re: Commissioner Announcement
Thanks a lot Wig. Truly appreciate all you've done.
If I may ask one more favor, can you (Or Scott or Doug) set me up with a node.

Re: Commissioner Announcement
Excellent term Wig and I think BSH is a perfect candidate to take over - league will continue to prosper
