Buzz around the league is the number of young talented players that passed through the RFA period and are now entering the open market. The other buzz is that many feel that these players are going to be so highlighted that veteran talent like Greg Monroe could possibly be had for less than perceived market value.

The market continues to be mum for big salaries like Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio. "With the caveat about max salary being 105% of previous year's, why would I give up anything for those 'bird rights'?" one GM proclaimed, anonymously.

Two teams to watch: The Nuggets and the Lakers. Both have pretty big money and both can go very separate ways. I hear the Lakers want to make the playoffs now. Nuggets are more worried about value and not losing the guys they traded for for nothing. .

Sources suggest that the Bucks have a chip on their shoulder heading into tonight's playoff bout with the Bulls. Expect a lot of elbows and expletives being thrown, because let's be real here, we all like to see a good ol' fashioned fight that spills out into the stadium. When confronted with these alleged reports, Bulls big man Vernon Desantis was first to respond with, "We're 65‒17, we're in complete command of sh*t going on here. If you wanna talk that talk, then walk that walk; let's see how you fair on the front court, biaaaatch.

The biggest surprise so far in free agency is Chris Stevens. The last pick of the 2018 draft is garnering multiple 8 digit offers after putting up nearly 16 points a game last year. Most people around the league seem to think he's headed to Houston for upwards of $15 million a year. "I'm 25. I can shoot the three. I can score down low. I can defend. I can rebound. It's time to cash in."

There is no consensus on what Jabari Parker is worth. Some GMs think the guy is #fakeblue. "Sure he has been scoring 20 plus a game with some efficiency and snagging seven boards a game but he was the only good player on those teams. Put him on a real team and he's probably just meh." Other GMs see it the opposite way. "This guy has been playing on bad teams with no help. Imagine what he'll be capable of with, you know, other good defenders, a point guard that can pass. He'll be off the charts."

Sources close to Aaron Gordon are reporting that the young power forward is currently fielding a myriad of offers this offseason, including a very intriguing one from an unnamed team in the Central Division. Whether or not he'll theoretically "bite the bullet" is still to be seen, but as of this moment, Aaron Gordon's interest is piqued.

I think it means that he's going to join the Washington Bullets

Whispers around the league are saying it is highly likely that Kevin Love, Paul George, and Russ Westbrook will team up in Phoenix this year to make one more finals run. Between the three of them they have won 5 of the last 6 league finals.

Is Zach LaVine on his way to signing with the Milwaukee Bucks? Sources close to the forward have admitted that he's interested in joining the reigning champs, though nothing is certain yet.

Everyone seems to have forgotten about the Pacers but look for them to make a huge splash in UFA. GM Pauly: "We are committed to putting a winning team on the court every year. We owe that to the people of Indianapolis. We currently have over $75 million in cap space. Expect us to use it." When pressed concerning the team's targets, Pauly said there were a lot of guys on their lists but noted that their meetings with Embiid, Oladipo, and Jabari Parker all went especially well.

As expected, the teams with the most cap flexibility are looking to spend the most money. One of the standout franchises are the Phoenix Suns, who are looking to bring Kevin Love back with some additional firepower, as well as the Indiana Pacers, who are primed to invest the remainder of their cap space into Facebook stock and/or Joel Embiid, whichever is more promising in the long-run. When tapped for comment, Pacers GM Pauly P proposed that, "although they'd love to land a star, it'd be cool to own some stock in Facebook as well."

According to the trainers who just left the Utah Jazz training facility, players JR Johnson, James Gebhart, and Joseph Kight look better -- and hungrier -- than ever before. Even Julius Randle has risen his game to compete with Kight for a role in the starting lineup. They're clearly anxious to win; the only uncertainty is if there's enough 711 hot dogs and Natty Daddys to go around to feed the entire family.

Sources say James O'Connor sees himself every bit as good as any of his peers in this RFA class and will hold out until compensated as such.

Teams apparently haven't been swayed by the media's perception of Eckbert Winkler as a less than max player. No less than 5 teams have bid maxes on him, and that was in the first hour bids could be made.

Conflicting reports on Briseno. One outlet had him purchasing a house in Los Angeles, one on a flight to Minneapolis, still another in Miami. Stay tuned.

Weird reports out of Atlanta where apparently Harland Ellinger has cornered Aaron Donald in his rental house there not letting him leave until he signs the Hawks' offer sheet. Seems eerily similar to the DeAndre Jordan fiasco. When Harland was asked if he has compatriots working on Andrew Aleman as well, he replied, 'Who?'

According to former mayor Kevin Johnson, the Sacramento Kings have reportedly reached a max deal with Tua Tagovailoa and plan on retaining Erik Haynes and Donovan Mitchell at all costs.

Rumors out of Detroit, the Pistons have finally reached a max deal with a Center to complement Anthony Davis with talent slightly better than the likes of the Odis Jacksons and Roy Woodsons of seasons past. Whether or not that deal will be matched is a different story.

One of the new GMs to the league is apparently a big spender. Apparently, one of the newer owners on the scene has reportedly wowed Kristaps Porzingis with a max contract offer. No word on whether it's LAC or OKC as the Knicks don't have the funds to offer a max in RFA.

Sources close to the organization allege that the New York Knicks are so distraught and uncertain about their Finals matchup with the Utah Jazz that they spent the entirety of last night at a cheap strip club by a Motel 6 bathing cheap smack-addicted hookers in $5 bills and Vladimir vodka, eager to ease their unkempt spirits. Uncertain of what the future may hold, they "figured they might as well make the best of it while they still could" before "sh*t hit the fan."
