TMZ Sports has learned Orlando management is secretly hoping Dario Saric signs elsewhere during RFA. GM false9 is reportedly enamored with the idea of acquiring future assets in a sign and trade and clearly cap space for three max offers in addition to supermaxing Paul George and James Harden. "He can't let go of the idea of a superteam" said one source close to the situation.

Sources tell me Kings representatives were seen leaving the house of RFA Zach Lavine early this morning in Toronto.

Ben Simmons is delighted to be in Philadelphia, and has no plans of going elsewhere. "This is my home," he reportedly told ESPN beat reporter Rick Rollz.
Re: Hoopshype
Free agent All Star center Greg Monroe has been one of the hottest commodities of the free agent pool as of late. Being the only center in his 20s being seen as a long-term option, Monroe definitely feels this free agency he is worth the max.

"Juicy James" Gebhart is incredibly excited for training camp tonight. "I can't wait to show y'all what I'm made of; can't wait to show you how juicy my game is", he was quoted as saying. Hopes are high in the state of Utah tonight.

Sources are telling me of a forthcoming announcement out of Denver. Not sure what this could be about, but their tumultuous front office situation may be nearing some resolution...

Sources within the Clippers organization say that Kevin Durant is on the block. The current best offer received is what might be a top 10 pick and 2 blue potential players on rookie deals.
Re: Hoopshype
Could John Hagerman of the Milwaukee Bucks be on the move? Trevor Sheffield of FOX Sports certainly thinks so. But for how much? "Since the Bucks are rebuilding, they'll be seeking either a pick or some points in return for the big man's hard work ethic."

Re: Hoopshype
DeSean Hawkins is ecstatic to be a Milwaukee Buck. "I don't like being moved around, whether it's on the court or off of it. I'm glad to finally have a place that I can call home for the immediate future. So far, everybody has been really nice to me, and they aren't partying on a nightly basis like they were in Utah. Those cats always had the liquor flowing. Here, it's a much more friendly and welcoming environment."

Word is quickly getting around the league that Carmelo Anthony had to be escorted out of a club last night after he continued to slip in and out of consciousness whilst dancing with a woman. Upon being confronted, he was very relaxed but kept insisting that "those Xannies ain't nothing to mess with" and "2 milligrams is more than enough to get a hunny loose." More news at 9.
Re: Hoopshype
There were some bitterly disappointed war rooms around the league when the lottery order was announced. One GM was quoted, "Lakers get another Fryeing #1." There are rumblings of a formal suggestion that RoboGM should be banned from getting a top-three pick.
Re: Hoopshype
Whispers in Charlotte is that Lavar Ball is being shipped to Lithuania. GM Darth Vegito has not confirmed the reports... but hasn't denied them either.
Re: Hoopshype
We're hearing that the Warriors have gotten a very attractive package lined up for Rudy Gobert. One rival GM is worried that this will set the market high for trades and that it could be very expensive to get good players in trades this season.

We're hearing that the Warriors have been underwhelmed with offers for Rudy Gobert but are dead set to trade him anyway. One rival GM is worried that this will set the market low for trades and that it could be difficult to get value back for good players this season.

A source familiar with Kyrie Irving’s agent says he’s leaning towards Boston. He’s always wanted to be the focal point of a team and the Bobcats flashy moves rubbed him the wrong way because he was not consulted.

There’s been a lot of back and forth between the King’s and Buck’s GM in recent years. This draft there was a game of chicken with Donovan Mitchell when the Bucks had 2 and the Kings had 3 and 5. The newest addition to this game of chess is Broomfield. The Kings see Broom a lot like former King Popeye Jones who they threw a max at decades ago. Word is the Kings want to stick it to the Bucks owner.

Re: Hoopshype
The Bucks cleared cap space and now have enough to offer a ^+ year guy a max. But why? Many GMs think the Bucks GM wants to send it over to Lance Stephenson to further their point to the Pistons GM after they declined a trade for Rubio.
Many will remember the Rubio league hostage situation where the Bucks held the league hostage for not offering him enough so he told them if they didnt offer enough he’d give them to the Pistons. Little known to Quail, Wombat declined saying he had enough talent to win it.

Re: Hoopshype
The big wild card in this years UFA isn’t a player, it’s a team: The Miami Heat. With 80m in cap space, the Heat can afford to overpay for a lot of fringe stars.
Guys I’ve heard that have visited:
Tobias Harris
Enes Kanter
Boyd Cox
Vernon Normand
Aubrey Broomfield
Charles Kuntz
Kyrie Irving

The rivalry between the Pelicans and the Bobcats has heated up. No one knows where it started, but a lot of people love that the franchises are linked via Charlotte and the franchise movement.
A lot of GMs when polled automatically think GM Darth is the better GM, but i was approached with these numbers that made me think.
The numbers were used from the last 16 seasons:

Rumors are that there was tension in the Raptors draft room but ultimately decided to select Porzingis. Raptors GM had major reservations behind drafting Porzingis because there was an error
In a birth certificate in Latvia, which marked Kristaps as adopted. The GM said while it’s not the only factor in marking them off the board it’s certainly one of a few.

Re: Hoopshype
The mysterious case of Brook Lopez.
Brook Lopez has been one of the most under the radar Centers in the league his whole career. It’s hard to tell why. All he does is produce produce produce. He was rookie of the year and even an all star, but when he hits free Agency teams dont pay much attention to him. His lowest PER is an 18 which is a fine player.
The Wolves seem to know this fact as well, and are trying to keep him under the radar to get him at a steal again. considering Lopez is their 3rd best player, they’re praying no one comes in and offers anything over 10-15 per season. That would severely derail their title hopes.

A lot of people think the Sixers UFA is only about Kanter and Covington but word on the street is they may be on the receiving end of a major sign and trade deal.
