I'm a sim league vet from another forum, and I'm interested in managing a team when one becomes available.

The media coordinator is about to be open. However we will have an election for the position. You can throw your name in if interested while you wait for a team.

Re: OPEN TEAMS
Due to the Supersonics being a no-show for the draft, the Sonics are being placed under league control. If P_Amour has not checked in by the start of RFA, I will work to pass them to a new GM.

Re: OPEN TEAMS
I volunteer as a steward from the west, if needed.
6 Rings. That's it. That's the tweet.
Re: OPEN TEAMS
Thanks for volunteering; however it is unlikely stewards will be needed. I already reached out to Make it Rain and he is prepared to assume control of the Sonics at the start of RFA if P_Amour doesn't check in. The Sonics exercising rights on their RFAs was done to make sure the best interests of a potential Make It Rain GM-ship is protected if P_Amour continues to be absentee until the start of RFA.
Re: OPEN TEAMS
Hey man! Had an itch that needed scratching. Thought I'd check in to get some relief.
Glad to see the league still thriving! Looks like y'all added college now! That's awesome.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
There's a good chance that, after this season, I will have to take a season or 2 break from sim league. I'm a senior right now and currently am spending most of my time studying for graduate classes, applying for jobs, and interviewing. I don't feel like I have the energy to put in the amount of work I think is necessary to succeed in this league. IF I need to take a break, it would only be temporary until I accept a job. Then, I would be able to get back to doing podcasts, writing articles, and doing the appropriate amount of scouting. I still love playing this game; just right now, I don't have much free time, and when I do free time, I think it may be best to be productive with it for the next month (or couple of months). With that said, I would like to finish out this season, try and win a championship, and sell off my older, more expensive pieces so the team is set up for a nice rebuild at the beginning of the offseason. I would ideally like to come back to the Warriors, but I understand if commish and other high-up people would like to give away the team to someone on the wait list. With the end of the season and the playoffs, this is still a few weeks away, so maybe things will change and I can put in more time to sim league. But I just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

I'm announcing my resignation from Rockets after a long run as GM. I want to thank everyone in the league including guys from the previous league over the last 5 years. It's been fun getting to know most of you guys, and I'll still be around trying to be active helping out and being on Skype, but it's time for a change with this organization after a futile time as GM in this league including missing the playoffs the last two seasons with high tax penalties, poor trades/signings, and not getting out of the first round since the 2004 season. It's just not working out. I almost resigned after last season, but decided to stick around for one more season. The will isn't there at this time to start over, but I will run things in an interim basis until someone else is ready to take over. Thanks again everyone. It's been fun. "But you won't have 78 to kick around anymore."

Sorry to see you go but I understand why you're leaving. I go through the same thoughts pretty much every season.78# wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2017 6:22 pmI'm announcing my resignation from Rockets after a long run as GM. Re: OPEN TEAMS
Do we have stewards for the Lakers? I thought I saw some volunteering but don't know if anything official happened. If not I'd volunteer unless someone else really wants it from the West, but right now the team is in a limbo of no owner or announced stewards.

I believe it was Eazy and I. But I haven't heard from wig on it yet. We need to get a trade block up for sure. Should figure this out today.NOLa. wrote:Do we have stewards for the Lakers? Re: OPEN TEAMS
Lakers Stewards (Eazy, Darth, Wig) please collect 5 league responsibility points for your service this season.
In order to spread the love around, I am looking for two NEW Lakers stewards, one from the East and one from the West. Please PM me within the next 48 hours if you are interested.
In your PM please also indicate if you would be interested being a Warriors steward (you will not be a steward for both teams unless there are no other applicants). I have PM'd Ben to see if he will be back to manage the Warriors since he's been hanging around the site, but want to be ready for the offseason in case he is not able to take the reins again.
