ACTION: The Mavericks select Mario Chalmers with pick #20.
REACTION: Still no Mayo. Maybe the Mavs see Vince Carter as more of a 2 than a 3? Chalmers looks like a 3-and-D guard if he reaches his potential, but isn't very athletic and won't score much. At pick 20, though, you can't really get picky. (Is this the time I start pulling out the "if you can shoot threes you'll get drafted late" trope?).

Re: Wig Liveblogs the 2008 Draft
ACTION: The Lakers select O.J. Mayo (via list) with pick 21.
REACTION: Holy cow! Someone actually took advantage of the ability to send in a list! (faints)
Also, Mayo finally off the board. This leaves Michael Beasley as the last player in the Green Room (see what I did there?). Mayo projects as a combo guard who can shoot the three, so he'll probably be asked to back up Kobe and Conley. Maybe the Lakers made this pick because there's going to be no pressure on them to do much with Mayo for quite some time and they can hope he has an epiphany in TC in the next few years that will get his unathletic butt into the gym.
