#SLOE: People's Basketball Sim League

Currently limited to 2 points per podcast. Let's bring this in line with written articles.

Total points awarded: 6 minutes of podcast per participant earns 1 point for each participant.
Maximum points per participant: 5 points per podcast (matches article cap).

EXAMPLES:
A two-person podcast (e.g. Horns and Fangs) earns each participant 1 point per 12 minutes of podcast (full 5 points for anything one hour or longer).

A three-person podcast (e.g. Quail Balls on a Tray) earns each participant 1 point per 18 minutes of podcast (full 5 points for anything 90 minutes or longer).

A one-person solo podcast would earn 1 point per 6 minutes (full 5 points at half an hour or longer).

How do we split up guest appearances?

Not gonna lie, guest appearances are a real pain to manage/track.

How about the guest gets any points that would be earned above the 5 points per participant max (max 5 for thr guest). So if a 2-man podcast has a guest, the guest gets a point for every 12 minutes the pod goes beyond an hour. 90 minute podcast from 2 people plus guest get regulars 5 points (first 60 min) and 2 points for the guest (next 24 minutes, final 6 minutes dont grant points).

Why not just keep this simple? Do flat 5pts for participants. I dont think we've ever had a podcast for less than 45 minutes.

I also think we should have a volunteer position for podcast compiler/editor. Like Louie puts all the pods om a central location and sometimes adds music and stuff that adds value to the whole experience. It would be nice to reward that as well.

I don't need this. It only takes like 20ish minutes to edit them down and cut them anyway and that's even if I do it. Some ive left untouched or others have done it themselves. It's not a huge deal. I'd much rather focus on nailing down a good reward system for podcasters

I can probably come up with something for podcast uploads.

If you're a guest for the whole thing. 5 points
If you just part of a segment 2 points

People who post or run the podcast post who was involved and whether it's a segment or the whole thing .

If you take advantage of it, no points.

This is way better. I don't listen to all of the podcasts, and I don't think I'm going to start tracking the time each person talks for either.

I also agree that when you post the podcast, this needs to be listed out, and if it comes out that you were trying to game the system, we'll just award 0 points.
