Why do some players shoot more inside shots than others? We used to think high inside and jumping attributes were enough, but it doesn’t explain some players settling for so many jumpshots.

Only 1 teams has a defensive efficiency less than 100. Only 3 teams have an offensive efficiency less than 100. Is the league trending towards offensive firepower? Is it a big surprise the best defensive teams are playoff contenders?

Salary cap hasn’t gone up much, especially in terms of a % increase each season. Will this end the league or will GMs have to adapt?

Great questions, Tani. 2 and 3 are pretty cut and dry for me. Do you have any example players for question 1 that you want me to look at?

Everyone else, let's get more questions.

1- Are the Pistons the real deal or will someone take them down in the playoffs?

2- Once again, is it time to revisit Doug's height training idea?

A few current examples I can think of is Tyreke Evans and Lonzo Ball.

A fun one would be to discuss Michael Finley, who early in his career for some reason just took a lot of jump shots instead of Inside shots.

Also, Baron Davis from back in the day:

Points for podcasts went up. Why are podcasts down?

Wasn't able to listen to the podcat live (listening to it now), but I have something to offer on the "Key Players being less picky with shot selection" theory...back when Tyreke played with me, he always seemed to be more efficient (in both ppg and PER) when not listed as a Key Player. Every season I'd give him a shot at being one, and more often than not I'd take him off after a sim or two because the results just weren't coming. That didn't change until around his last 2 years with me. Hearing y'all mention that now just brought back those memories. I always thought it was weird, but handwaved it away as either (A) Tyreke still needing to develop, or (B) just not being suited for a "1st option" role, kind of like how certain guys performed better as a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd option in the old league. To my (limited) knowledge, this sim system is different and doesn't have that distinction in the order (1, 2, 3) of Key Players, so I just kinda assumed, perhaps wrongly, that every player you put on the Key Player list here generally got the same amout of touches and freedom of shot selection as a 1st option would in the old league.

I dunno, just thought I'd share.

I'll throw in more Tyreke facts- I played my last 3 sims the previous season with him at Power Forward and keyed up. Didn't seem to encourage more inside shots.

You get a point, and you get a point, and you get a point.

But really, myself, JNR, Garbageman, and Wig all receive 5 points. Thank you for your contributions!
