#SLOE: People's Basketball Sim League

Ok everyone huge news!

I have been working on this for a while trying to figure it out. Last season it was a big deal how the power polls for the game were way off and so I wanted to try to create my own. First it was our fan voted one, but that felt like it would not sustain. It is still a work in progress, but here is the first iteration of our new and improved (from the nodes version at least) Power Rankings. Ignore the previous week, as I have just generic numbers in right now to help build out the template. It should hopefully, around week 3 or 4 level out a little bit. Power Rankings Post Sim 2

wow, nets @ 24 is really surprising... btw, 5 more entries and you hit a 10pt cap on these. claim each point with each new entry up to 10 for the series.

Here is the real Power Rankings for this week. It wouldn't be PBSL if I did not mess up math, so it has been updated and should be more accurate moving forward...

The "points" indicates what your teams score is after the formula runs its course. To allow you to see how your score compares to other teams.

Post Sim 4 Update:

New things! First the Sim is now accurate, I took out the Pre-Season rankings that was throwing off the count. Secondly, I have now incoporated the point change from the last sim to the current one. So now you can see not only how your team did compared to other, you can also compare it to yourself!

The only thing changing is the middle of the pack this sim. With the top 6 and bottom 5 staying unchanged. A few things of interest. The Cavs, who made moves to improve, have dropped three spots and almost out of the top 10! The Jazz also drop two points, hoping that the broken leg of Wade can heal as soon as possible. Also, the weirdest thing I noticed is that the Mavs (20-12) are so low on the rankings. For some reason it really hates them, dropping 4 spots after going 5-3 this sim.

Post Sim 5 results:

Cavs rebounded big from their upsetting sim 4, encroaching on a top 5 seed again by soaking the Hawks and losing most of their games by single digits. The Pistons, while staying in first place, dropped one quality point. I think this is due to having more competitive games lately, with a few falling within 10 with the spurs and pels. Lets see if the Clippers can catch up!
