Who Do I Got? S50 Playoff Predictions: Smackdown
Posted: Fri Mar 12, 2021 1:36 pm
Ladies and gentlemen, the time has come. 2 games per sim. Most GMs are checked out, updating trade blocks, looking to the future, but 4 of us remain in the present.
I am going to eat the 76ers alive.
With valiant efforts from all, early season predictions have come true. The 4 best teams off to the 4 best starts and finishing with the 4 best records in PBSL have made it to their conference’s last dance.
Actually, the 76ers' record was top 5, not top 4, but who’s keeping track, really?
Without further ado, let’s get to some semblance of a break[smack]down of two conference classics before two remaining GMs go for all the marbles. But it goes without saying that K100 will not be one of those two GMs and his star James Wiseman will have to live in Delmar’s (shorter but better) shadow for just a bit longer.
ALPHA
#1 Chicago Bulls vs. #3 Minnesota Timberwolves
Season series 3-1 Bulls
TL;DR
JNR’s Timberwolves fast-tracked to the conference finals. Whereas the Bulls had a 1st round BYE, the Timberwolves beat their opponents like they had received a two-round bye. There has been speculation that his opposing GMs have been preoccupied with real life stuff (what is this exactly? I have no idea, PBSL is (no longer K100’s) life). Nonetheless there is no reason to downplay two sweeps in a row. A third is very unlikely, but if it happened, they would instantly become favorites to take the trophy home to Minneapolis this year. OG Anunoby has been a revelation on both ends of the floor, and Wolfgang is right there with him, showing improved stats in the playoffs.
The Bulls, on the other hand, already dispatched a star threat in Dan Yandell. Yandell showed up big time for the Spurs and it was not enough. The Bulls threaten at all positions, and the Miguel Thomas / Burt Gibson combo may prove quite the foil for OG and Wolfgang. It’s an exciting matchup no matter who comes out on top (I’d bet on OG and Gibson, but we’ll see). The Felicio / Robinson matchup presents its own interesting challenges as well, with Robinson being stronger overall inside but Felicio having the ability to spread the floor. This is a very exciting series, and neither team will emerge unscathed. I’m excited for this one.

#1 Los Angeles Lakers vs. #2 Philadelphia 7losers (I straightened the six for you and added an s)
Season series 4-1 Lakers
TL;DR Lakers
Hello, K100.
So we meet again. Your traitor Mike Burnham has served you well, and Wiseman is playing the best ball of his career, IN these playoffs, specifically. But come on, K100. You don’t really think you can best me and Delmar twice consecutively?
Do you?
Throw your best at us, please! Give us your best shot! We wants it. We needs it. Delmar will smack it down and rebound it! Glen Sabo will laugh at you like this!
And then Justin Todd is going to foul the [expletive deleted] out of you! Adding insult to injury (oops - did I say the ‘I’ word?), Robert Kelly is gonna rack up a few steals, too.
So maybe you should quit now. If not, greeple, Delmar, Sabo and Bias are coming after you in your dreams like
Lakers win.
