One GM no one has heard from today is Pauly P. Many thought he would be active at the deadline to bring in some more talent. However, that hasn't been the case. Not having his draft pick, Pauly has fallen on hard time, finding himself in a drunken stupor more often than not. "At some point, he needs to wake up, or Deron will leave us and we'll be even more screwed!", one Pacers executive stated anonymously.

T-minus 5 minutes, and still no sign of the Bucks mega deal.

According to sources close the Bucks Front Office, the deal for the young PG previously stated was indeed Kyle Lowry. However, during trade talks, the Grizzlies Front Office discovered some libelous statements on a new social media platform called Twitter by a member of the Bucks organization, referring to the Grizzlies GM in a profane manner. The tweet has since been deleted, but sources close to the situation say it rhymed with "runt". The Grizzlies decided to move in a different direction, despite being having a signed document in hand from both teams ready to submit to the league front office.

Rockets were planning to accept Zydrunaus Ilgauskas's team option at the end of the season, but with the acquisition of Chauncey Billups to help pay off the tax, reports are the team will decline his option, but instead attempt to re-sign him for two seasons.
Re: Hoopshype
According to @officialmutombo Hornets GM told family and friends he is stepping down after a post season meltdown in front of team following game 4. "He was ranting about going to New York and having a kid after this mess." He didn't fulfill his media obligations after losing game 4 to the Celtics and could face a stiff fine from the league in upwards to 40 points. We will continue to follow this story with more updates.

After coming in second place in the Rashard Lewis sweepstakes to the Sonics, Grizz GM LoCo letting everyone know that he is for sure maxing Andy V in RFA
Re: Hoopshype
After hearing that the Grizz GM is salty, the Sonics GM will be giving Anderson Varajao a super-max and going on to win the championship.

Re: Hoopshype
Sources tell me that Sonics GM DarthVegito's cock gets rock hard when he looks at his team.
Re: Hoopshype
Everyone knows where Artest is going. The real story of this free agency is where the old guys are going: of the 10 highest rated players, 5 of them are 30 or older. How many will get paid the max this year? Will any receive a 4 year max? We have some sources telling us that Stephen Jackson has been maxed by multiple teams.
Re: Hoopshype
One of the big stories of last year was the Kings coming out of nowhere to sign Shareef to a min. Who are this year's candidates to be vastly underpaid: sources are telling us to keep an eye on Shareef again but also Michael Finley, Michael Olowokandi, Corey Maggette, Samaki Walker, and Jalen Rose. Word from the inside is that so far, at least 2 of those guys have yet to receive anything above a minimum offer, and only one has received a substantial multi-year deal.
Re: Hoopshype
When asking GMs who they believe will throw out the worst contract, league GMs were split. One GM was quoted "There are so many bad/desperate GMs out there with a ton of cap space and a bunch of old and mediocre talent. One thing's for sure: someone is going to cripple their future this year." Some picked the Hornets after giving out the Jamison contract last year, but others believe that might make him more cautious this year. The leader in the poll right now is the Magic who have 30 million in cap, but no first round pick this year. One Eastern Conference GM spoke out, saying: "They showed in RFA that they're not afraid to spend money, even if it's not necessarily 'good' money"
Re: Hoopshype
Sources say the Warriors are staring down the barrel of a tank warning if they don't dole out some money this free agency. They clearly aren't looking to contend this year, but many around the league feel GMs will be annoyed if they wind up with more cap space available than used.
Re: Hoopshype
A team to watch in the Stephen Jackson sweepstakes: the Los Angeles Clippers. With Dirk getting up there in age, they need to make a run soon. Signing Jackson and pairing him with Dirk and an even better Durant might make the Clippers the team to beat in the West.
Re: Hoopshype
Calvin Booth's value is a big question mark around the league. Some are scared off by his age, but others think that his ratings are so high that he'll be worth whatever his contract is for at least another 2-3 years. That's showing in the offers he's receiving. Huge range of offers.
Re: Hoopshype
Sources say Jamaal Magloire has been blown away by his offers. From his agent, "Jamaal expected to just follow the money, but now we're in a position where he can choose where he wants to go play rather than just follow the money. Something important to Jamaal is being able to buy a home rather than rent one, and it looks like he'll have the ability to do that.
Re: Hoopshype
A lot of people around the league are looking hard at Webber and Big Z. One Western Conference GM was quoted saying: "I look at them right now, and I just don't see a difference between them and Shaq. I think all 3 should be signed to big 2 year deals.
Re: Hoopshype
We're hearing of another team that may be looking to enter the Stephen Jackson sweepstakes. Sources say the Pistons are looking long at hard at Jackson. He's much older, but the ability to pair a P/P player with Martin, Aldridge, and Howard might give them a team that can compete with the Hawks out East. It's a very similar situation to the Clippers, and it's one that might be too hard for the Pistons to pass up.
Re: Hoopshype
We have another guy to look for in our "minimum watch." Rafer Alston. The point guards is not flashy at all and is 32. His agent seems very displeased: "I don't know what else you could want from a starting point guard: he can shoot, dribble, pass, and defend just fine. No one will offer him a few million, but meanwhile, people are throwing the house at Steve Francis and Delonte West. I don't get it."
Re: Hoopshype
Another thing to look out for is the value of 3 point shooters. How valuable is someone who can stroke it from 3 but can't do much else? We have a few guys like that in free agency this year who are green and above: Alan Anderson, Pedrag Stojakovic, Jason Richardson, Carlos Delfino, Michael Redd, Jarvis Hayes, and Jason Kapono. A couple of those guys have been offered over 6 million a year. And a few haven't been offered anything but minimum contracts. They will help set the precedent for 3 point shooters in future free agencies.
Re: Hoopshype
How much is Raja Bell worth in free agency? Last year he shot 43% from 3, and he's a legit 3 and D wing. Many teams are trying to lowball him. But a few teams are determined to not lot him leave their building without a deal.
Re: Hoopshype
Two bigs we've been told to keep an eye on are Dan Gadzuric and Kenny Thomas. They're 2 of the best rebounding bigs in this free agency class. They're each top 5 in ORB rating and top 15 in DRB rating and they're the 2 highest rated yellow players in both. Some teams feel they were held back by the fact that the Warriors and Rockets were awful last year and are trying to scoop them up for cheap. Unfortuantely for them, they're not without competition.
