An unnamed source in Toronto: "Of course we're ok with second place. We gave up on the Finals before the season. We are happy to let Atlanta have the titles, they're the better team. It doesn't matter to us if Seattle beats us down instead. We're second rate, and we know it."

Several GM's have been on the phone all day and night trying to improve their squads, the most desperate teams to make a move: Houston and the LA Clippers

When the Celtics got Zo back the Wizards countered with Shaq, now all eyes are on the Magic to make a move just to keep pace or be left behind in their dust

Even though he has performed very well this season, hearing that Pau Gasol is being "very aggressively" shopped around. The Grizzlies now have the highest salary in the league and he is seen as the piece that can be moved to allieviate that. Expect him to move today

Word from deep inside the League offices is that several GM's will not only lose their jobs but will be banned from the League immediately following the Finals. The Commissioner is looking to make some overdue changes and nip some problems in the bud.

League accountants have warned the Commissioner that tax bills will put several times into negative territory, potentially creating a lockout or contraction. Someone close to the Commissioner said, "It's bad. Some teams have made some bad decisions, and we're all going to end up hurting because of them."

in addition to the concerns above, many of the remaining teams will be relocated and rebranded as cities have become less viable NBA locations. Word is that teams will be able to begin the relocation process this offseason with movement being finalized next season. Cities that have sprung up as potential locations that have expressed interest include Oakland, Brooklyn, New Orleans, Honolulu, Virginia Beach, Oklahoma City, and Las Vegas. These cities are chomping at the bit for NBA franchises and expect pressure to mount publicly soon.

The NBA Referee's have gone on strike after game 2 of the NBA Finals. The league is scrambling to finish up the finals without costing the integrity of the game, but many wonder if that is why game 3 and 4 were rescheduled. Will the Referees end the lockout before the NBA is forced to bring in replacement refs?

This is just the latest in a string of questions swirling around this year's trophy. What one GM has called "clear shadow GM-ing in Los Angeles" is both a frustration and an inspiration around the League. "We're trying to expand our own front office with past champs" says another GM. "We'll be upfront about it if it happens."

No one is happy with Los Angeles right now, and no one respects their wins because of how the last 2 seasons have been handled.

Despite shopping pick #3 while on the clock, the Utah Jazz did not hesitate to draft swingman Andre Iguodala with their selection. That said, many outlets are now reporting the Jazz selected him because he was the best player available and are looking to potentially move him if a deal nets them a combination of veteran presence, cap relief, and/or youth/draft picks. Phones have been ringing, but will the Jazz answer the call?

The stench of desperation wafts through the air of the Spurs war room. After yet another failed post-season presence, the organization is teetering on what to do with this pick. Word on the street is they are ready to blow it up, and with that organization's luck with draft picks, they may as well try.

The Nuggets attempted to move up to a top 3 pick; however, the offer of Ronald Murray and a future 2nd round pick just wasn't appetizing enough to get a couple nibbles from neither the Pistons nor the Jazz.

Multiple sources have confirmed that the Kings have in fact shopped both Kirk Hinrich and Tyson Chandler in attempts to move up in the draft. While on the outside those players offer some appeal, many feel Hinrich will come back down to Earth and Chandler is a mere shell of himself after an apparent degenerative foot injury in the off-season. The Kings continue to deny these reports, but our reputable sources can confirm that the Kings GM is just, in fact, being a Betta fish.

Clear winners of the draft, without even looking at the rest of it, are the Detroit Pistons. They have selected two potential perennial All-Star quality players in Dwight Howard and Kevin Martin. For once in over a decade, the future is looking bright in Detroit.

One agent I talked to today guaranteed me that 6 RFAs will sign max deals today. "There is a lot of cap space out there right now and the free agent pool looks, well, old. Money will be flying."

Despite the Lakers' persistent claims to the contrary, Larry Hughes is being actively shopped. It is clear Balls O'Hard has really moved on.

The Pacers front office is reportedly incensed at the contract offered to their young big man Jamaal Magloire, they like him but their notoriously stingy GM has let his guys go for less (Anthony Johnson to the Wiz a few years back). Not sure how this one is gonna end up

New report coming out of the Magloire saga, all attempts by the Pacers to negotiate a sign and trade have been rebuffed by the Clippers GM Aburns, with the Los Angeles team "not highly motivated" to give up pieces for Magloire. The Pacers GM Pauly left the team facility late last night and seemed to be very agitated. "If a team doesnt really want a player then why the f*** would you sign him to a max, straight a**h*** move." The commissioners' office will review the GM's comments and a fine should be coming his way

When asked for a quote, an anonymous source inside the Cavs organization said, "I think he'll go on record." He did. Cavs Owner: "Pussy my ass, you dick. Ball's in your court, Cumfart."

A lot of GMs are getting concerned with the "Brian Windhorst" problem in the PBSL. There's a conspiracy theory that has gained traction over the past few months: Brian Windhorst actually died years ago, and the current iteration is actually one of the PBSL GMs dressed in a fat suit so he can ask mean and unfair questions under the guise of a pseudonym. No one knows who that GM actually is, but he seems to have too much inside information to be just another reporter.
