S60 Cavs Preseason Presser
Welcome to the Cavs Preseason Presser. We are pleased to welcome our hot GM jlmarines.
GM jlmarines: The Cavs finished the season by making the playoffs again. It's our 3rd year making the playoffs. The team is proud of the success but we need to learn how to win in the playoffs. We need more scoring power.
Unfortunately, UFA was not kind this season. We bid for a few purple players but signed somewhere else. But, not all was bad.
We are extremely excited to sign SG Raphael Gordon. Gordon will be our team leader. He's young, talented and we believe he is ready to step up.
GM jlmarines: Speaking of stepping up. We resigned workhorse PG De La Rosa. De La Rosa knows his role on the team, whether he is expected to score or pass the ball. De La Rosa and Gordon will be a talented combo.
We also signed veteran player Daniel Yandell. Don't let his age fool you. Yandell can play SG, SF, and PF. Yandell brings a lot of depth and leadership on this team.
Our depth is so loaded with solid green players, each of our bench players brings a specific attribute skill set on the defensive and offensive side. We signed solid studs PF Chris Shepard , SG Bryce James, and PG Lloyd Hasty. We are confidence with our new addition players we will return to the playoffs and win games in the playoffs.
GM jlmarines: Here's our starting lineup for the current moment:
C Mason Dixon
PF Jeffery Jackson
SF Cam Ron Fletcher
SG Raphael Gordon
PG Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa

With realignment mixing things up a bit, where do you see yourself in playoff seeding?

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: What past or current PBSL players do you see Raph Gordon plays comparably to when he reaches his full potential?

No mention of Jere Bailey tonight in your presser. Any truth to the rumors that the entire league laughed at your feeble attempt to trade him after his disastrous playoff performance against the Wizards? Are his days numbered in Cleveland?
And you avoided the tax again by not retaining Michael Sneed for another season. Are you ever going to take the plunge and enter the luxury tax or is fiscal responsibility a more important priority at this stage in your GM career?

Chet Youbetcha, Dimmadome News: you mention the need for more of a scoring punch and then let perennial top 10 scoring player Sneed walk. Who will be your top scoring player in his absence?

Preseason was definitely encouraging. I had very high hopes on PG De La Rosa. However, he had a horrible TC. Right now I'm not sure. It really depends on SG Gordon. If SG Gordon takes it to the next level, then I do see myself making some noise.
But for right now I'll be battling for 6-7th seed. Will see. Thanks for the question.

Hopefully, like SG Toni Gauss. I do plan to train Gordon. Have like 50pts. So I do plan to invest alot on SG Gordon. Hope he produces. Thank you for the question.

Why do you tolerate such slander from the big market media outlets in Boston & Memphis? Don't you think you've proved yourself already?

Don't even remind me of Jere Bailey. He's starting from the bench until he proves his value. GM jlmarines will not forget last season. So yes, all eyes are on Bailey. He knows this is his last opportunity.
I actually gave Sneed a better contract, for 2 years. But, he decided to signed a 1 year contract. There's no way I'll go in Tax penalty for Sneed. I think he wanted like 55 mil per season. Sneed will not take me to the promise land. I'm willing to go on tax penalty but the player has to be worth it.

I didn't let Sneed walk away. I offered a
better contract but that SOB decided to signed a 1 year contract with someone else. I have high hopes on SG Gordon. I do plan to train him alot. Thanks for the question.

Those SOB can suck it. I already proved I can beat Boston and Memphis GMs. Can't wait to beat them again. Should be fun. Excellent question.
