S29 Year Long Predictions

I had hoped to get this up sooner, but the season like usual snuck up on me. Something a little different on some of the questions I'm placing odds to mix it up a little bit. So the amount of points each answer might worth can vary. Going to extend the deadline to the second sim of Wednesday, but if you fill it out early (by today's sim) you will get an extra point.

Cost is 3 pts
3rd place: Entry fee returned (3pts)
2nd place: 25% of remaining pot minus the 3rd place(3pts)
1st place: 75% of remaining pot minus the 3rd place(3pts)

Apparently a nerve was touched, I simply updated last post to track for my own purposes. Nowhere did I state entry must be paid. Have also edited first post that points can be deducted at anytime before the contest is over. Also if you'd just sign up for a damn rewards card if you spend enough points you might qualify for a free hotel in sim vegas...holidays and weekends excluded

Here is an update for each prediction as we stand 2 sims in.

Who will win the East?
Hawks (1pt) are currently leading

Who will in the West?
Grizzlies (field 1pt) are currently leading

Who will be MVP?
Probably AD (1pt) right now, I really thought it was Love after sim 1. But AD's team has the better record.

Who will win Rookie of the Year?
IMO Probably a tie b/w James Gebhart (1pt) and the field (1pt) Tatum isn't getting the mins yet, and De La Rosa not producing much.

Will a team win over 63.5 games?
Yes (1pt) is looking good...one team is on pace to win 82 games

Will any team have only single digit wins?
Yes (2pts) is lookign good...one teams is on pace to win 5 games.

Which team will have the worst record?
Field (1pt) - looking good here, Clippers and Heat have 1 and 2 wins respectively

Will the best point differential be over 11.5 points?
Yes (1pt) - 3 teams are currently over 11.5, but they are also the only 4 teams with a double digit point differential

Will the worst point differntial be worse than -13
Yes (1pt) - 2 teams have worse than -13 right now

Will there be a purple potential player in the draft?
Don't know yet, but the artificial draft class really sucks...like really bad.

We might have to test some principles, because if it played out this way Darth is in the lead with 7 points. He is currently being boosted by being the only person choosing Yes on a team having single digit wins for the season for a 2 pointer.

Who will win the East?
Hawks (1pt) are still in the lead with a 3.5 game lead over the Nets

Who will in the West?
T'Wolves (1.5pt) have jumped out to a 4.5 game lead over the Grizz

Who will be MVP?
Still probably AD, but Love is right there, Love is 37 and 13 with a 35 PER and 3 seed in the West, AD is 40 and 11 with a 38 PER and 7th seed in East.

Who will win Rookie of the Year?
Still looks like a two horse race b/w Gebhart (1pt) and the field (1pt) Ulis and Dennis Smith Jr are both having strong rookie seasons.

Will a team win over 63.5 games?
Yes (1pt) is still looking good... Hawks are on pace for about 69 wins and T'Wolves are on pace for about 66 wins.

Will any team have only single digit wins?
This one will be close the Jazz and Kings are both on pace to win 11 games and the Heat are looking at about 15 wins. Going with No (1pt) for now.

Which team will have the worst record?
The Kings (field 1pt) and Jazz (1pt) are both sitting at 6 wins right now. But the Kings have 2 more losses.

Will the best point differential be over 11.5 points?
Yes (1pt) The Hawks are at 11.9 and the T'Wolves are at 14.1 while on an impressive 17 game win streak.

Will the worst point differential be worse than -13
Yes (1pt) still looks good my Celtics are at -14.2 and the Jazz are at -15.7

Will there be a purple potential player in the draft?
The college season is underway the #1 prospect is Ty Perez a 7'2 Center looks promising. Damain Williams looks like an athletic scoring wing, but lack of PRD may keep him from purple, and John Martin a 6'5 PG with over 80 QKN and 80 JMP will be one to keep an eye on.

Will calculate the scores later up and update the rankings.

Here are the current rankings I've put the possible points in paranthesis, also keep in mind I've given points for both Gebhart and the field for ROTY for these rankings and left the purple draft blank so these aren't exact.

1. LogPMess 7.5 (13)
1. Conroy 7.5 (12.5)
2. BallsoHard 7 (10.5)
2. IamQuailman 7 (12.5)
3. DarthVegito 6.5 (13)
4. TheSyndicate 6 (13)
5. PaulyP 4 (13.5)
5. Garbageman 4 (13.5)

Coming down the home stretch, it's been a little bit since I updated this and quite a lot has changed.

Who will win the East?
Nets (Field 1.5pts) have gone on a 12 game win streak and own a 3 game lead over the Magic and a 3.5 game lead over the Hawks.

Who will in the West?
T'Wolves (1.5pt) have about wrapped this one up. They have a 7 game lead with about 16-18 games left.

Who will be MVP?
This is literally a tossup to me AD has a 1.8 ppg lead over Love but Love is averaging 2 whole rebounds more per game. I'm still slotting AD in here, but this is way closer than any expected and would be a huge swing for Garbageman as he is the only one who picked Love.

Who will win Rookie of the Year?
Still looks like a two horse race b/w Gebhart (1pt) and the field (1pt) Ulis, Dennis Smith Jr, and Arthur Hardie are all having strong rookie seasons. (literally just added Hardie to the list, it's essentially been the same all year)

Will a team win over 63.5 games?
Yes (1pt) is finally on shaky ground...the Nets are on pace for 66 wins, the Wolves for 64, and the Magic for 63, but a lot could happen, teams could rest, get hot or get cold to finish the season.

Will any team have only single digit wins?
Like the question above, this one still technically hasn't been decided. The Jazz are the lone team yet to reach double digit victories, sitting on 9 wins. They have 18 games left and are on a current 12 game losing streak, which means they'd have to finish the season 0-30 to not reach single digit wins. Here's the thing their schedule isn't easy down the stretch with a tilt in Boston looking like their best chance for a W. Still going with No (1pt) because they are projected for 11 wins.

Which team will have the worst record?
Looks like the Jazz (1pt) may have this one.

Will the best point differential be over 11.5 points?
Yes (1pt) The Nets while on their hot streak has increased their point differential to a league high 12.6 and the TWolves are still at 12.1. We'll see how they finish the season.

Will the worst point differential be worse than -13
Yes (1pt) is essentially a lock with Boston at -15.3 and Utah at -16

Will there be a purple potential player in the draft?
We shall see...there are 3 yes's to this question and 5 No's so it may end up deciding the winner.

Current Standings:
1. LogPMess - 10
2. DarthVegito - 9
3. Conroy - 8
4. TheSyndicate - 7
5. IamQuailman - 6
6. PaulyP - 5.5
7. ballsohard - 5
8. Garbageman - 4
